Accomplishments:

Because it's good to bring new blood into a breeding program, we acquired Am. Can. Ch. Beameup McVan's Gold Digger "Anna Nicole" from our good friend Dorene Cross. Anna is out of Ch. Arabella's Voyager "Polo" and Ch. Victoria's Alaskan Gold. Anna is a beautifully headed, upbeat girl. She finished easily with wins on specialty weekends under terrier experts. The first four times she was shown as a special, she placed in the group. She is shown at left winning her first Group 1 under Breeder Judge Elaine Young. In 2006 she was specialed in the Northwest. She was the number 6 Scottish Terrier in Group competition, defeating 1181 dogs and number 8 in breed competition.

We feel that Anna is really leaving her mark in the whelping box. To date she has produced 13 champions including two all breed best in show winners and numerous other specialty winners. She is the winner of 2009 Kriscot/Pryscott Brood Bitch Award for 2009 and will be honored for this at the 2010 national specialty show.

All five puppies out of her first litter finished easily. As noted above, Carrie is a multiple specialty winner. Her sister, Pepper was owner handled by Janis Trotzuk to a Best Puppy in Show and got a Group 1 in Canada. Pepper also earned the title of Best Canadian owned Scottish terrier at the 2006 Canadian National Speciality. Stateside, Pepper even beat her mother Anna Nicole on one occasion. Mom smiled at her daughter. Anna Nicole's handler was not as pleased.

Anna's second litter turned six months in December, 2007. Some will debut in January. Her second batch of kids is the "light" litter. McVan's Northern Lights "Aurora" resides with Vandra and Mike. McVan's Trip the Light Fantastic "Ginger Rogers" is off to the Midwest and will be owned by the Greenwalds. McVan's E equals MCsquared "Einstein" will journey to Thailand. McVan's Moonlight Serande is owned by Dr. Tom Pinckney and will be shown in the Midwest. Longtime Scottie enthusiasts Sally and Richard Johnson plan to show McVan's Lights, Camera, Action. And McVan's Lightening Rod "Rodney" is the companion of George and Susie Finger in Texas. As with any litter, some puppies have potential as show dogs and others are best as companions. Since dogs are shown for only a small period of their lives, finding good homes is extremely important to us. We think we've hit the jackpot.

Anna Nicole is a CHIC certified Scottish Terrier. She is genotypically clear for von villebrand's (ST-VW215/41F-PI), Thyroid normal (ST-TH23/40F-PI), and normal for patellas (ST-PA81/40F/P-PI). Additional tests included Cardiac (ST-CA11/40F/P-PI), Hips fair (ST-32F40F-PI), normal with no indication of legg-calve-perthes (ST-LP7/40F-PI).

"Anna Nicole" is ROM from 5 champions from her first litter.
